Origin Story
Jasper Coffee has sourced East Timor beans for more than two decades, moving in 2000 to the Maubisse cooperative whose improved agronomy, careful picking and washed processing elevated quality and consistency.
This coffee played a foundational role in introducing Fairtrade to Australia, with the Maubisse beans being among the first Organic and Fairtrade Certified coffees roasted nationally.
Revenue from this long-term partnership has helped the cooperative establish eight medical care stations, a birthing centre and 23 mobile clinics serving remote communities.
